Kingsbury Amateur Operatic Society ("we / us") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.

Why we collect information from you

We only collect and retain data which is necessary for the administration and promotion of our activities. We store it electronically and securely and review it periodically. We do not provide your data to third parties.


We store the following data on people who have performed in our shows:

  • Name: this is so that we can identify who our performers are.

  • Email address: this allows us to contact you regarding shows/social events.

  • Phone number: this allows us to contact you regarding shows/social events.

  • Photographs and videos: we take and store photographs/videos so that they can be used to promote our shows. By being in a show with us, you consent to this use of your image.


We store the following personal data for people who have bought tickets with us, or who have requested to be subscribed to our mailing list:

  • Name: this is so that we can identify our audience members.

  • Email address: this allows us to contact you regarding a booking or regarding our current and future shows. We may also contact you from time to time for the purpose of surveys to understand how we can improve.

  • Booking information: our booking system is provided by, and their privacy policy can be found here.


If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

Please let us know if your information changes as it is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up to date.

We may ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

If you visit our website we may collect statistical information regarding the pages visited for the purpose of identifying improvements to the site.


Where we store your personal data

We use a proprietary website with servers located both within and outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). By providing your personal data, you agree to this arrangement.

From time to time, and at least once every four years, we will review the personal information we hold. You can ask us to remove your personal information from our records at any time and we will do so and stop sending you any further correspondence. You can opt out of our electronic correspondence simply by replying with ‘Unsubscribe’ as the subject. Alternatively, you can leave a message at 020 3000 7818 providing your name and e-mail address and requesting removal from our contact listing


Changes to our privacy policy

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
